Multi-talented Sydney singer-songwriter Martyn Badoui offers up an intense, theatrical collection with this EP. The title track will no doubt elicit a wry smile from anyone who’s ever found themselves inexplicably drawn to someone (“I fall in love with the troubled and the crazy, fall in love with all their eccentricities,” he croons). Badoui has an outstanding voice, and it’s supported by rich instrumentation, particularly on the soaring, string-lead ballad Clown and the infectious, upbeat Serenade.
