A trio of Melbourne queer musical groups will come together next week for a very special free festive event.
On December 12 at the Prahran Market courtyard, the Melbourne Gay & Lesbian Chorus, the Melbourne Gay and Lesbian Youth Chorus and the Melbourne Rainbow Band present their ‘Christmas gift to the community’, a concert called Carols by Queerlight.
Under the direction of musical directors Adrian Schultz (MGLC), Mark Lyall (MRB) and Ben Leske (MGLYC), the three groups will present a program of traditional and modern Christmas carols, with a couple of bonus festive tunes. Queer Melbourne identity Luke Gallagher and a very special surprise guest will be on hand to MC the event.
It’s a great way to get festive and gay in the lead up to Christmas and experience more of Melbourne’s amazing queer talent.
info: Carols by Queerlight is on at 8.30pm, Saturday December 12 at the Prahran Market Courtyard. Free entry.
